This article was fantastic! During these unprecedented times, virtual meetings have become the best way to gather the team, collaborate, and move business forward. With so many virtual meetings – personal as well as professional, there are down sides. During your virtual meeting, if you feel “rushed, distracted, checking emails, sending a text, or scheduling a meeting,” the meeting participants can pick up on your distraction. This article talks about being fresh for each call and virtual meeting, especially when you have back-to-back calls, and to “Be Here, now.” Little things to practice are, “relax (your) shoulders,” and “breathe out.” During a break, think about the small blessings of your life, and perhaps plan a short walk, short stretching or other exercise, family dessert time, etc…Leaders in these virtual meeting also have the opportunity to hear diversity of thought. In the virtual setting, there is more of a level playing field, and “as a mindful leader, be aware of who is present and pay particular attention to inclusion.”
